Ubuntu: Post-Install Packages

From LUG Manipal Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Ubuntu comes as a CD Installer with only the minimal packages to avoid bloating of the distro. There are cases when the default packages are not adequate for using it properly and you need to add more on you own. The best configuration would be having one app for each type of work you would want to achieve,

The aim of this wiki page is to list down the required packages against the requirements. There can be more than one software, but only 2 most famous and easy available and stable package need to be mentioned.
